They should have had "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash as a backing track. Missed opportunity. It would have helped brighten up this shite trailer about the scenery of a level, no action. The graphics aren't even than good.

Graphics look shite to be honest...
Looks about 3 years out of date.

The only that can save this now is good quality physics, animation and tight tactical gameplay. From what I have seen...this is looking unlikely. COD4 even has this beat and thats been out for a good time now.

The original game was so popular because it was essentially an arcade game - pick it up, login, find some friends and off you go - then turn it off whenever you want after a nice bout of fun. The graphics in my view weren't important as a lot of the time you didn't have the time to look around assessing everything in detail - not every game is about sitting back and looking at a landscape admiring it...SOCOM was/is built around stability - being able to play at a good frame rate with no spikes and network issues. if you want lush environments and accurate effects look into a FPS. Sadly SOCOM 2, and more so, 3, didn't have that 'sturdiness' that the original SOCOM had...so i hope this version is the true next generation version of SOCOM.
