SKATE - Gameplay

Need 3 votes!

This is only the second snippet of gameplay to seep from the sweaty pores of the SKATE monster, but the game already looks fairly polished. It's more about realism than mega-tricks so presumably we'll play once, hurt ourselves and never go near it again.

This looks like a winner. I get the same feeling that the first Tony HAwk game gave me.

This is looking - gasp! - genuinely good, and with your typical high-profile EA marketing behind it, is the Birdman coming to the end of his undisputed reign...?

It's also nice to see a new game from EA these days that isn't a licence.

Nice video. The tricks seem a lot more based in reality in SKATE compared to the TH games, which is a very good thing. Tony Hawk's was great from the point of view that you could do impossible things, this looks great from a "skateboarding simulation" point of view. Sort of like FIFA Street compared to Pro Evo.
