Published 5 August, 2008 Duration 1:25

After breaking Tony Hawk's hold on the skate game market last year, the SKATE series is returning to have another crack at the crown. Five years have passed in the game world town of San Vanelona and skating has become an outright crime as corporations crack down on fun. Pithy.

The no-complys and One foot ollies are cool additions. Don't really like the look of the terrain they showed. I just want a new city to explore and find new spots, these looked way to much like THPS skateparks. At least the ability to get of the board should open up new areas, and the ability to arrange benches etc should be pretty nice.

Looks nice. They really need to embrace the Burnout Paradise approach to multiplayer and this game is king!

I would have preferred a more realistic world to skate in, there are far too many conveniently placed ramps, gaps and rails... Seems to me like they are missing some of the the key factors that made the first game such a refreshing take on skateboarding. At least now you can get off the board and walk up the stairs - weyhey!

...also for a city that has outlawed skating they have sure made it an easy place to skate. I have to say, it's an absoloutly shit concept! I'll probably still play it though, it's just sad that they have taken the game in this direction.

That really does look bloody lovely, but I just don't get on with the controls...I REALLY want to like it!

I much prefer small learnable levels or parks to a whole city!
