looks pretty interesting, with an attention to detail like Bioshock. Bioshock meets HL2. Those monsters take an awful lot of ammo to down, though - maybe its just that pistol is weak.
Tom's apparent inability to hit a barn from inside the barn might be a factor too.

I'm assuming therefore its not worth me going out and buying it.

Er, all it does is show an advert and then the video doesn't play.
Happened to me too, I just selected HD then went back to Normal and it worked.

Yeah, I can certainly see the logic there: Eurogamers "first 15 minutes" video didn't load therefore the game isn't worth buying.

Well the ability to trap enemies in a bubble of frozen time, or age them into skeletons, or repair stairs or crates or machines by de-aging them is pretty new. And other than the TimeSplitters games there aren't that many shooters that use time travel as a core feature. I don't know of any games other than Singularity and the RPG classic Chrono Trigger where you can explore the same area in both the the present and 50 years in the past.
For the first hour and half the game is a generic (but extremely well polished) horror shooter game, a cross between FEAR and Bioshock and Half-Life. And then you get the time powers and it stands out as its own game. What is impressive is that they were confident enough in the quality of the shooter and horror aspects that they didn't contrive a reason to give you time powers within the first half hour.

You're just being funny right? you know It's done deliberately because of the Russian theme to the game?

of the Unreal engine they are using but the graphics are very aged and resemble
a lot of Bioshock. What a pitty since they reduce value from the gameplay
experience.

I wouldn't hold my breath for that. Singularity looks average but Fear 3 actually looks quite bad. Which would be a shame since Fear 2 was already a big letdown.

Devlin is indeed Nolan North.
Both he and Steve Blum (intro narrator), must be two of the hardest working men in videogame voice over work!

It's not sloppy. The letters are like that on purpose, because some Russian letters really do look backwards

It may be nothing new, but I've always enjoyed fun over innovation, and this looks like just the ticket.
