So yeah, they are basically making Silent Hill: The Movie - The Game. At least aesthetically anyway.

Also... konami have nothing to do with this games development, they have left it totally in the hands of The Collective. Apparently they 'trust' them to honor the franchise.

can't believe they handed this awesome franchise over to a bunch of yanks. won't be silent hill anymore, it'll probably just end up looking like a game that wishes it was silent hill

Oh man. i used to love this franchise but it looks like it's running out of steam. Same clunky controls and combat. Meh! This series needs to break out the creative rut the same way that resident evil 4 did. Give me something different FFS.

please for fuck sake get rid of the old controls.
I loved my silent hill games, but trying to move and hit stuff was the most horrible effort in frustration ever.
There has to be a better way...
