I'm dying to play this and Toca Race Driver 3, but I can't be bothered to connect up the old XBox again just to do so

Ecanam mentioned something that I agree with the camera does seem to be playing catch up sometimes although I am sure you could make the ball move faster than the "camera" (known as scrolling in those days! lol) in the 16-bit versions. Perhaps this is a tad more sluggish?
As for 360, surely a live enabled port of the original would be the best, but would probably cannibalise the market for this game. It is that old, that I know a few mates that will be hoping their kids like this one so they can play with em with full when I was a lad speeches no doubt an ya Dads still got it etc. Obviously they (the kids) will have no rose tinted retrospective glasses on so it will be interesting to see how well it does.
If Street Fighter 2, Sensi Soccer and Super Tennis were all on live for the 360, and implemented well, a lot of old school rivalries maybe reignited!!

I don't have PGR3 as I'm only interested in racing, and proper racing in a championship with qualifying etc. PGR3 has too much other rubbish that detracts from the racing for me. Kudos points were fun initially (I've played the original MSR, PGR 1 and 2) but eventually I just want to get back to straight racing, no style marks, no timed laps, no pimping your vehicle, no buying the next best car, no virtual garage, just racing on real tracks etc etc.
I actually love the open wheel racing a'la formula ford and vauxhall thats in Toca as well as the straight touring cars. The other types I can take or leave, but the touring cars and open wheel are the muts nuts.

And (not to be a back-seat driver, or anything) not worth yours, either.
Sorry, it had to be said.
