The environments have a bright and colourful feel to them, something which many "next-gen" games seem to shy away from. Next gen seems to = brown.

But seriously, Sega are very proud of their surface deformation and it does make a big difference, especially with a force-feedback wheel. We got to play a preview last week and they talked about it for close to 15 minutes. I wrote up a post last night - 10 things you should know about Sega Rally (Revo)
