So it's a WW2 shooter with aliens, then? Looks very pretty, but... ho hum.

Note to all devs: other colours aside from brown, grey and green are available.

Faelnor - are you the one in charge of public relations for that particular game?

Didn't see anything innovative at all - AK47ish weapon, Zombie/Alienlike Monsters - destroyed cities like in any other WW2 shooter out there and physics I could swear I have seen before, that's because physics are physics and bouncing closets are bouncing closets.

they put the riddick sewer monsters and weapons in a ww2 shooter >_>

    thats no good.

I think faëlnor was in the middle of typing "OH WAIT IT HAS NONE OF THOSE" when he accidentally submitted his comment.

Hahaha! Looking for innovation or originality in an FPS? lololol
  • JediMasterMalik #7 6 years ago

I don't care what you guys say this game will be awesome. And yes the weapons are innovative. There's a weapon which shoots a ball of needles which can be controlled and subsequently exploded. If that's not innovative, what is?

And it's not a WW2 game at all, WW2 doesn't take place in this

    More info

Insomniac is known for interesting weapons so this will be no exception. :)

Physics look fantastic if you've seen the lab level. And graphically it looks miles better than any 360 FPS currently.

"physics look fantastic if you've seen the lab level. And graphically it looks miles better than any 360 FPS currently."

When you consider that the best 360 FPS on offer is Perfect Dark Zero, that's not such a grand claim really.

lol Fair enough, though I was considering COD2 more than PDZ.

Edit - what happened to the framing?

    Gets a meh from me.

I was interested and then I saw a monster... Sigh.

Far too many games these days ruin themselves but chucking monsters that are a pain in the arse. Oh look, another facility breeding an ultimate race. Move along, nothing new to see here.

Looking good. Certainly one of my most wanted for PS3. Also pleased to (finally!) see some physics getting put in a major Sony shooter - it's about time. Insomniac know how to do shooters; I have no doubt this will be excellent.

EDIT - the blurgh says this video is 2 minutes 18 seconds, but it's only half that. Am I going mental?!

    "- Innovative story ? Check
    - Graphics which stand out of the pack ? Check
    - Innovative design ? Check
    - Original weapons ? Check
    - Innovative monsters ? Check
    - Uber innovative physics engine ? Check

    OH WAI"

God of War has none (Except maybe Graphics) of that and it's a crap game.

    OH WAI!

    lol Zero

Edit - Games don't have to be innovative to be good. Just look at Halo 2. ;)
Seriously though, this video doesn't show the innovation in this game as other videos do. That porcupine (yes, it is called that) weapon is really cool.

    No Clank? Meh!!!!
  • Latin #18 6 years ago

I think it actually looks pretty promising, seems quite similar to what the story in half life 2 is: alien race takes over world, humanity sets up underground resistance... OH WAI that's like every sci-fi shooter out there.

On a serious note, it does look good although could do with a bit more colour, but to be fair i doubt there was too much colour in real life during WW2 considering that a lot of towns where bombed to hell and all that was left was rubble and mud. Furthermore people weren't really concerned with how they're garden looked or whether they had the right blend of colours in their scientific research labs ;)

In terms of gameplay, it looks like a HL2 clone with little head carb like thingys and bigger more brutal weapon carrying enemies. If there are gonna be a whole load of innovative weapons then this could be good..

reality check: its going to bomb.

Plus that controller, not so good for fps.

Could you fucktards be any more jaded?

Oh wait, you already decided not to get a PS3 so you piss all over anything that comes out on it.

Remember the copy and paste function for your comments when the other PS3 games are previewed.
