This is the secondary trailer from E3, featuring some chap in a spooky raven mask which owes more than a little to doctor's outfit during the Black Death, as well as flawed diamond Pathologic. The other outfit on show is not nearly so practical.

But is it just me or did it look like there were a *few* too many explosions for an RE game?
Anyway regardless looks excellent.

Its also nice to see a left handed game character for possibly the first time in history (though i hasen to add im not one of those wrong hand freaks!)

It looks absolutely phenomenal. Probably better than Gears 2. But it'll be shite, just like RE4 was.
But please Capcom, if you're not going to redo the lip-synching for the English version, have the option for Jap voices. That scene at the start looks fucking stupid.

The violence looks great. Not sure if I'm too old or too jaded, but the continuous inclusion of female characters depicted for the predeliction of teenage boys is getting a bit old, too.
Why the fuck should I care about 'sideboobs' or any other pre-pubescent fantasies in a game about zombie-killing. Or any other fucking game. When big names like Capcom stoop to this level, it is a wonder that female games journalists aren't going off their rockers having to pander to this churlish male demographic.
Oh, wait.

I'm afraid I don't buy into the 'let's make it scary by making it restrictive to control' idea. You make the game scary with things that are scary, not by making you panic because you can't get away from a monster when your character has the turning speed of a beached whale.
Which is a shame, because so much about RE4 is great. But it's so horrible to play. If it played like a slowed down version of Gears it would be a hundredfold improvement.

Oh, and Zomoniac: you might want to read RE4's instruction manual a little more in-depth. If not, I have a nice FAQ you can peruse.
Deagle: I share your sentiment, but also have to admit that this trailer showed enough new material which may just earn the game a true "5" moniker rather than "4.5". Let's just wait...
Bad09 and similars: while the days of backtracking, hex and square cranks, valve handles, emblems, medals and plugs were great, the new facelift really isn't that bad. This time, YOU get to choose when to backtrack (for extra ammo and weapons) and the puzzles are clever and don't require you to go back ten areas because you forgot to pick up a crucial item. Horror moments are fewer, but have more impact. Plus, being attacked by multiple, dangerous enemies in small areas does create a new, interesting type of tension I never experienced in the older REs. In my opinion, what was gained by the franchise outweighs what was lost.
If the gameplay matches the visuals, this game is mine! (ahh who am I kidding I want my collection complete anyways

The fact I still play the old Resi games and 4 is gathering dust tells me different VMerken
Don't get me wrong RE4 was a really good game, but as I've said before, It just wasn't a very good Resi game......
