Even if this gets mediocre reviews, it's still getting bought on release day.

I'm so gonna lose my life to this game, and Just Cause 2, natch.

Sandbox games, you gotta love 'em!
  • Monkey_Puncher #6 2 years ago

The horses look stunning! especially the way it reacted with the lasso round its neck.
  • kangarootoo #9 2 years ago

    Christ, that just looks epic!

The list of "stuff to do" just kept coming :)

This was pootling around near the bottom of my interest list, but it just jumped right up to the top 5.
  • telboy007 #10 2 years ago

The horses do indeed look absolutely amazing, although not as amazing as the sheriff's 'tache at 35 seconds in! :)

Between Just Cause 2 next week and this in May, I suspect it's going to be a very good Spring for open world games.
  • MyPointIs #12 2 years ago

I don't know about the game, but this trailer is 10/10!
  • Bloobat #13 2 years ago

@ 2.10 you can see the menu, it says multiplayer and cheats and social club!!!

don't know how cheats would work though...

SO pumped, Just Cause 2 next week and this in MAY... EPIC!

    I want this NOW.

I freakin' love horses. Horse animations and details so far in the game world are best in Mount and Blade. Glad to see it take another leap in this high budget game.

cant wait to be able to sit by a camp fire, eating beans.
  • Aquilasever #16 2 years ago

What I would like to know is will there be a notoriety system of sorts? Where if you kill lots of bad guys, people will want your services and vice versa. Looks good either way.
  • Spekingur #17 2 years ago

So, wait. Four areas? Loading screens in between?

I'm so damn excited for this but I need more info! >:|

    Howdy All,

First time poster / new user. Good to be part of Eurogamer massive instead of lurking.
Game looks awesome and for my money is one of most anticipated games of the year by a mile. Loved GUN on pc, had it's faults but hoping this takes care of all that with GTA level of attention to detail. Lasso me up and take me to the Sherriff.
  • irrelevanthuman #20 2 years ago

Holy sheep shit!,this looks the business.

    @Spekingur

I doubt very much there will be loading screens, as even breaking a large world down into 4 parts you would never fit all of any part into memory. There has to be streaming (or shed loads of loading screens, which I doubt they would do).

What keeps bugging me is the framerate: it's all over the place.
I mean, they can't even make the framerate smooth for a trailer, how is the game going to turn out? Joking, joking (well not entirely. While I agree we don't want them faking stuff up in trailers, I wish the concept of a smooth, high framerate wasn't so expendable these days).

Anyway, as usual, whoever is that directs these trailers - or any R* trailer for that matters - really is to be commended. Excellent. Simply excellent.

Oh, and the game looks good too, waiting eagerly.
  • Spekingur #25 2 years ago

@kangarootoo: Yes, that's what I expect. But according to the info already released the areas are very diffirent and even in the trailer it seems suggest diffirent time frames for each area? Which just makes me scared that there might be loading screens between areas - very much hope there aren't and Rockstar's track record suggests there won't be.

Whatever the case, I am very VERY excited for the game. First thing I'll do in the game is get a trenchcoat. And a haircut (if possible). And behave like Malcom Reynolds - although, his horse was a spaceship.
  • Vyggo #26 2 years ago

Man, will be hard to resist a day one purchase on this one... I hope it is not just a GTA, Wild West style though. Those games frustrate more than they amuse (imo). At least from the trailers it seems like the gunplay is vastly improved, hope it lives up to its promises.

  • Darkjinxter #28 2 years ago

Not another gatling gun. If I never see a gatling gun/machine gun sequence in a game ever again I'll be a happy man.
Aside from that, this is a must-buy methinks.
  • earobus #29 2 years ago

Gotta say the graphics look better when you compare it to GTA IV. Shows how far that engine has come, will buy at launch no worries.
  • Darren #30 2 years ago

    Looks incredible.

If ever a trailer sold a game, it's that one. It looks like it's everything you'd want from a cowboy game and makes previous efforts such as Call of Juarez and, especially, GUN look weak. It has 10/10 written all over it and being from Rockstar you know it's not going to disappoint. I'm really looking forward to this game.

Shame it hasn't been announced for the PC (yet) but the Xbox 360 version looks fine, even if the framerate looks a bit low in places... I don't think it would bother me too much as the scope and scale of the game looks like it'll make up for any technical shortcomings.
  • angerisagift #31 2 years ago

This has been on my preorder list since it was first announced and based on this trailer I believe I am fully justified! Bring on may 21st!
  • Dr_Wookiee #32 2 years ago
