Red Alert 3 - First trailer

9 (3 ratings)

Red Alert 3 has awfully pretty water, which is a good thing, seeing as naval warfare and base-building are central to its gameplay this time around.

Please tell me they're keeping the old classics like the mammoth tank. Screw the water combat, the best part of the original was riding into the oppositions base with 15 mammoth tanks and watching his base vanish within minutes.

Anyways this probably be not as much fun as the original red alert was... I'd really like a remake of that one!

Same old. But then what do you expect from a franchise that peaked years ago?

Hell march ftw.

I can't decide whether I'm pleased or disgusted by the fact that they're recycling old sound effects.

"We're pinned down!" etc

@php_penguin , yea i noticed that, i think they are keeping old sfx for nostalgic reasons but i think they should have plenty of new ones in this, what with new weapons etc. *fingers crossed*

Looks fucking awesome. Glad to see the music is back and you can't not have the sound effects, otherwise you risk taking some of the charm away. RA wouldn't be RA without the hammy music, stupid quips and unit sounds. It makes it more 'B movie'.

Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. I'm sorry.

yeh - Flying blimps.... as oppose to the underground variety. Anyway, whats wrong with everyone? Marine combat was a huge part of Redalert 2. There was even some retarded staffer at Game spot stating "brand new sea combat". None of it is new... but being c and c it will still be horribly addictive. GAK
