Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - Tons of guns

Published 22 February, 2008 Duration 2:16

Gun porn aficionados take note, R6 Vegas 2 is full of the sort of hardware which will have you discussing the relative merits of reflex vs. optical sights and the comparative stopping power of hollow point ammunitions. Watch out though, the Uzi weighs a ton.

    Ooooh. Gun Porn.

Must play the first one, at some point...

/glares at too many 360 games to play.

Nice additions. Is it just me or is this engine looking a bit dated? Compared to COD4 at least. Really loved the first R6:V, multiplayer was sweet! Will be picking this up I think.

I don't think it is just you syphaa - it did look a little... basic, compared the the rich textural tapestry that is CoD4.

I actually went straight from CoD4 to the Frontlines MP demo the other night - a real shock to the eyeballs. I *know* they do different things, but blimey - the qualitative graphical difference!

A man can never have to many guns.

Why do they always show the top of their head? Do they want to die?

Looks like they've kept the annoying 'screen goes blurry when you get shot' gimmick in there.

I haven't played the first game, but this looks like it might fall into the old trap of having too many similar machine guns, much like Black or Cold Winter.

Also, the full game isn't anything like this action packed, I presume? I couldn't really get on with the early R6 games because they were too slow-paced for me.

    @triggerhappytel

It also looks remarkably similar to the first one! I would swear that the casino they are fighting is identical to one in the first game with red carpet instead of gold!

I'm beginning to think setting Vegas 2 in vegas was a serious mistake on their part. It simply looks and feels like a re-tread.

Bah! This looks just like the 1st one... CoD4 still best for all round weapons based fun.
  • riz23 #10 4 years ago

Hafta agree. you can't top CoD4 right now.

i want it to be similar to the first rsv it was awsome.
and nothing can top cod 4...... until this comes out.
you jus sit and watch the most popular online game become rsv2.

It's bound to look the same as Vegas 1 - it's set in the same place. They might even be the same casinos but with different routes through them.

I hope it's a full game though and not an expensive expansion pack. So far all I can tell is it has new guns (you only need a few), you can sprint (not needed but nice to have choice), and unlockables can be used both online and offline.

so if you like rsv 1 then this is going to be awsome.
