I suppose that this is all very well, and in line with Sony's vision of the PS3 being the hub of home entertainment and blah blah blah.

Personally, all I see is a message that won't go away telling me to update, another chunk of memory occupied on my HDD, and two films being used to launch of it, neither of which's screenplays I'd use to wipe my arse with.

Please someone tell him to take a breath and pause.

The Phil Spector 'Wall of Sound' approach is not good.

Why oh why can't we transfer playlists/files wirelessly?! Being able to copy stuff over whilst im away and in a wireless hotspot and being able to take that content with me out of a wireless signal would be incredibly useful, anyone agree?!

    i agree dave.
i have no beef whatsoever with this update or any other one for that matter, sony will change the future of media and gaming this is just the begining so if u are underwhelmed then you obviously dont apreciate the technology here and you should go back to your xbox. blu-ray has already won the hd format war so i have full trust in sony.

BD-Live sounds far too much like a solution looking for a problem. "You might be able to download the trailer for the sequel before anyone else". Whoop dee do.

    as i said 'bad'
you clearly dont apreciate the technology here and what it means for the future of gaming movies and media.

No Chaos, we DO understand the possiblilies. It's just that Sony are taking their sweet time about realising them.
There are amazing possibilities for BD Live but exclusive trailers are about as far as it will go. At least until they can monetise it. Money for extra feature commentaries is a road I see them taking.
