I'm struggling to find anything I like about this game. It seems to have lost all of the charm of sands of time with this forced AI co-op nonsense

Absolutely gorgeous, and oddly reminiscent of Metroid Prime...
I wish he spoke in Arabic or something though, it would really distract from the cheesey script.
...More like prince of vermont at the moment....

dear god please let that be placeholder dialogue

    Soulless.

The whole rebound thing disrupts immersion (it just so happens someone put conveniently placed magical pads so that someone could navigate through corrupted lands?), and it screams laziness. 'Why do we have to design a long pathway to the boss? Let's just throw in a lot of jumps in there'.

The Prince has no character, thanks to dull writing and a horrible voice actor.

The more I see of this game...

They still haven't realised that we didn't care about the fighting before and we still don't now. These games are at their best when it is just a big castle v.s a human.

The lack of real-world-esque physics removes all sense of legitimate peril. The chained acrobatics make the whole thing seems like nonsense. Before it was one wall run and that was your lot, like in real life, now... It's all gone a bit silly.

I agree about the acting too. Those are really badly cast voices, and the script seems like it came from the first Resident Evil game. The story from the original POP trilogy was one of the best things about it, but this video has really destroyed all hope I had for the story-telling in this game.

I'm massively disappointed that this series seems to be taking such a nose-dive. I just hope they can turn it around in the few months before release, but I doubt a full recast and rerecording of the voices is at all likely to happen.

    Damn :(

try a little drink at lunch time, it really helps the eye to skip over long comments.
Also gives a temporary feeling of general well-being. All is right with the world, and .... PoP physics dont matter anymore.

looks beautiful, but ugh! the dialogue and voice acting are awful!

The dialog is horrible along with the voice acting which lacks charm. As has been said already, they've lost the platforming feel with all the silly rebounds. If your mind can't image and predict where you're going to be traveling then the whole experience feels more like a pre-scripted sequence. I saw two 'rebound' markers in teh same screen and naturally assumed reaching one would jump you over to the other but instead you were teleported over to god knows where. It's disorienting in an unintended and bad way.

The 'boss fight' is also very dull. DMC and SoC is a good benchmark of how to introduce a new enemy and build up a feeling that you are taking part in an epic battle. The 'Hunter' here felt like an overly persistent grunt.

Worst of all, I felt that Erica and the 'healed lands' were not beautiful enough. The aim was for something like out of Okami but instead all I saw was a slight change in colour. I also don't like the 'Corruption spots' since that rings alarm bells of i"nstant death by touch" in my head.

I want to game to be great but right now it looks like they need to fix a lot of things.

well, i imagine ubisoft are pretty market/focus group driven, so with luck they will hear the groans of a trillion forums (fingers crossed) and adjust the voices....
someone said Sands of Time had english accents, anyone remember that? i just remember it was superb.
