So basically "Sorry about the direction the games have gone recently... please come back" (in a french accent). And quite rightly - Sands of Time is such a classic.

I think it shocked them when that survey (done right after the last POP release) basically had the fans tell them that it wasn't a patch on the then 6 years old sands of time game.

I personally had a debate with their guy at a GDC about how stupid not being able to die was going to make things. I remember pointing out that it made the whole game pointless. The player would feel zero sense of achievement or skill, knowing that they were taking absolutely no risks throughout the whole game. No matter what they did, they simply couldn't die.

I truly hope, for their sake and the sake of the franchise, that they have corrected this nonsense and you don't suddenly have infinite rewinds or some other stupid was of negating every feeling of achievement you would have gotten had there been consequences for your failures. If I know that I can endlessly rewind a jump or battle, then what the heck is the point in playing the jump or battle in the first place?

This is looking really good. Strange that they've decided just to carry on as though they haven't tried to re-write the story though. I bet they wish they could just forget about the failed attempt now but they've left it open-ended and it will piss people off, oh dear, they should have listened to the consumer.

Ceri Young: "The game kind of follows the prince on an adventure..."

Well FUCK, can she decide, does the game follow the prince on an adventure or not? Damn speaking reflexes. Of all of them, this one with "kind of" every 5 seconds has got to be the most annoying.
