    meh - looks like doom3
  • Darkedge #2 6 years ago

hmmm there is some good shit in there - lets prey it's actually creative not just a braindead shooter like doom 3 or quake 4
  • el_pollo_diablo #3 6 years ago

This is starting to look very dated.
  • kangarootoo #4 6 years ago

Is it just me or does that narrator sound like Walther Matthau?

Looks prettier than Doom 3 I'd day, though the core gameplay seems very similar (i.e. close quarters shooting against small numbers of enemies).
  • BravoGolf #5 6 years ago

Looks alright but the longer they leave it the less jaw dropping it's going to be.
  • groovychainsaw #6 6 years ago

i just meant some of the technological bad guys/mutants with blades for arms is getting a bit - same-y nowadays isn't it? And it all looks a bit gloomy. Messing with gravity is a bit fun, but that's hardly more than a gimmick?
  • Sko #7 6 years ago

I'll certainly be glad when this trend of tupperware-looking FPS games is over.
  • BigHairyBear #8 6 years ago

    You miserable old buggers!!!

    Looks great!!

I dunno...seems the EG collective is becoming very jaded lately...where's the passion gone, guys?

    Moan,Moan etc etc.... :p

    loves Bear

ps....enjoy gaming for what it is...you may even have a bit of fun!

Passion went to the rev... no rev news made me not passionate.

    Prey looks icky.
  • asphaltcowboy #10 6 years ago

I'm still really excited about this! I think there are some really interesting gameplay mechanics here!

Prey has been in the pipeline for quite a while, you'll most definately be suprised at what is has to offer when the time comes.
  • Tyronne #12 6 years ago

Wow a doom 3 mod for a game that died years ago...so not bothered about this.
  • Sko #13 6 years ago

Someone jingle their car-keys and distract BigHairyBear, will they?

I still enjoy good games. Seen-it-before FPS games, however...?
  • asphaltcowboy #14 6 years ago

You've seen that cool portal technology and crazy gravity systems in an FPS before? Which one, I've gotta play it!
  • Sko #15 6 years ago

Sorry, putting 'cool' and 'crazy' on the front of those 'meh' gimmicks doesn't light my fire like it apparently does yours.
  • Royal Fool #16 6 years ago

Haha... always funny to read the comments from you die-hard haters. No matter what they do, you just can't be satisfied for some reason.
  • asphaltcowboy #17 6 years ago

    Sorry...

You've seen that portal technology and gravity system in an FPS before? Which one, I've gotta play it!

I'm suddenly care about news posts for this game :)
  • Eldritch #19 6 years ago

    Looks dated and uninspired.

And I don't feel like playing Doom with Turok.
  • Sko #20 6 years ago

Ooh, now that we're being labelled as 'haters' (obviously invalidating our opinions because, hey, no-one could disagree with you, right?), are we allowed to label the rest of you as 'sheep'? Seems only fair.
  • asphaltcowboy #21 6 years ago

You can pretty much think what you want - I can't wait to play this!
  • Senor_Sanchez #22 6 years ago

looks like a really professional, shiny, polished Turok mod for Unreal

I will probably playing it for a bit, but it doesn't quite scream WOW! at me...
  • smoison #23 6 years ago

Ya its just too DOOM 3, Quake 4, generic.

I love FPS's but this looks soo, meh. I preffered the old cancelled version.

And you had "Portal" technology in quake 1. And gravity changing has been going on since quake 2. Hell you can even do low gravity in CS(1.6)

Sorry, you had portal tech like that in Quake 1? You must have got some special version no one else knows about. As for changing gravity... yes, changing the gravity strength has been done, that's easy, but I'd argue there aren't that many games that use gravity (as in actually walking on the ceiling, for example) as a important game mechanic.
  • Duckers #25 6 years ago

    Meh...
Hard to decide. Is it Turok-esque or Metroid-esque?
With a bit of Quake in there as well?

I have never played Doom, so I can't make assumptions on how alike it's going to be. You lot obviously can, though.

Not one for my list, inevitably. It's inevitable, because I knew I wouldn't like it as soon as I saw the title. I'm clever like that, you see.
  • firm3d #26 6 years ago

This has a lot of element that remind me of Turok (for obvious reasons) and Ratchet and Clank (the wall/ceiling running, spherical areas to run about on), not to mention the Primal like portals. I mean these things in a good way.

I also like how genuine the main character's exclamations seem in other trailers/clips.
