A shame they are not more honest regarding 3G (=no online gameplay!) and keep talking about social features.

A shame they're showing these very, very old movies. They're so ... 2011? I'm 100% sure I've seen them before, and they feature old footage of games as well. Some of the more recent ones about individual games have been much better, like on Motorstorm RC etc.

only a little more than two weeks to go! Can't wait either - I think the first purchase will be Super Stardust off of PSN.

It seems odd to me for them to be pushing the social functions of what I perceive to be a hardcore gamers product.

I'm really not bothered about Facebook integration but I do love the idea of playing high quality games with proper controls when I'm out of the house.

Part of these social functions aren't twitter and facebook related, but are the type of things that have been driving gamers to Xbox Live though? You know, stuff like cross-game party chat and such?

Ok we get it, ordered ages ago.

Now just give me my shiny new toy.

Regards to social stuff; I think leaderboards across the board are great as gamers are by there very nature competitive. Sure doesn't work for all gamnes (see how shoehorned into some XBLA stuff) but in something like wipeout, having it auto sync ghost data is brillant idea.
