The year of the console military sims is upon us, what with this and ArmA 2. More power to them.

    Pretty pretty, but I think ArmA2 both sounds (in the abstract sense) and looks better than it. Even though ArmA1 looked like it had quite a few flaws.

    The smoke effects look really good in Arma2 in the vid linked above (shame about the music)

    Arma 2 is nowt compared to this, this has better lighting, a better setting and better particle effects. I think Op Flashpoint 2 has a bigger scale as well and the amount of weapons and vehicles in this sounds great

    I want it, I need it and I can't wait

    @SFG,

    Without wanting to get into a pointless argument(I think both both games will be great), I've not seen anything that suggests that this has better graphics than ArmA 2, aside from the target renders. I think this'll be slightly more run and gun, if the roadie running is anything to go by, so I'm not convinced the 2 games really need to compete as much as everyone seems to think.

    Also, on the subject of scale, I've not been presented with any evidence for the scale of either game, really, but ArmA1 was huge.

    To be honest, I don't care how ArmA2 or OFP2 look as the original wasn't pretty but it played so well. Show us some gameplay footage Codemasters!

    I was anxiously expecting this but after seeing how Codemasters took a dump on Colin's grave with the last breast-soaping DIRT 2 trailer I don't even wanna hear about these fuckers any more even if they were the actual developers of Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3.

    ARMA 2!
