Oooh, this looks alright, actually. Is that Jeff Bridges playing his dad?

This may get me back in the cinema for the first time since 1989 when i went to see Batman with Michael Keaton . I wasnt with Michael Keaton but he was playing the role of Batman .
Dreadful film . I loved TRON back in the eighties (and Wargames) . The PC game TRON 2.0 was decent too . Is that Faith from Mirrors Edge ?

"Woah" he says at the end of that. "Woah" isn't the word - it looks spectacular. Gotta see this in 3D!

Too serious and gritty for such a camp premise

Pretty much wetting myself in anticipation and have been since the first test reel appeared.

However, I'll be the first to admit that the story of the first film wasn't brilliant and it only sticks so deeply in the mind for the art direction and the effects sequences.

Which makes me worry that everything looks a bit too real in the computer world now... The simplistic effects of the first film actually contributed to the other-worldliness; and although everything in that world is some kind of a virtual construct, there now seems to be too much attention to physics and physicality. In particular, the lightcycles now lean and do natural sweeping turns, rather than the distinctively impossible right-angle turns they used to; and why is there mist, spray and weather?

I really like the music in that trailer, but will be quite surprised if the actual film doesn't turn out a bit shit.

I read elsewhere that the soundtrack's apparently by Daft Punk. Sure sounds good.

I agree with an earlier poster about slight disappointment in how "realistic" the computer world looks (unless it's *not* the computer world this time, somehow...)

But still, I'm looking forward to this tremendously.
