Honest to God that brought a tear to my eye.

    It's so... beautiful.

  • malexous #6 2 years ago

Looks to be more awesome than SMG. I didn't know that was possible.
  • Stuz359 #7 2 years ago

I don't know about anyone else, but all Mario games just make me happy.

Love SMG, such a beautiful game, really looking forwards to this.

I won't miss the hub world of SMG, mainly as it was too large. Glad we're going back to the map approach.

the most amazing thing about this new franchise (to me at least - and that's not dissing the rest of it) is the music OMG!

Looks just like Super Mario Galaxy 1.

I'm not convinced by the map.. it looked a bit.. i dunno, "cheap" (for want of beter word). But I cant wait to get back to playing a FUN game (cant remember last time played something which made me smile).

PS: Jahb - Let me guess, you've just turned 13 and want to look grown up?
PPS : chukcyQ - And halo3 looks just like halo1.

actually i turned 30 recently; and i want to be excited about mario games like i used to be, but they just don't grab me anymore.

hence the reason for my original (totally negged for no reason) post - either mario or me has changed, and since mario games still are of very high quality, my only conclusion is that i'm too old by now..
  • kinky_mong #14 2 years ago

You don't "outgrow" Mario games, you just "lose the capacity to enjoy fun".

I know what you mean, it doesn't really seem to fit in to the game, a linear map like in SMW or NSMB seems like an odd choice to me.

I'd have preferred clusters of galaxies to this. Like the observation domes in the first one. With paths that open up between them after you get enough stars or beat bosses. Still maybe the maps is like that later on. It'd seem more natural to me.

I think the map comments are fair. However I thought that the weakest part of SMG was the hub, as I often forgot where I was supposed to be going, so atleast they've addressed that. Otherwise it really looks incredible.

    Poor Jah B.

I'm 43 years old, 30 years regular gaming and this still left me grinning like a child.

    *hugs* not negs.

Mr. Miyamoto strikes back at the internet wiseguys disparaging the previous Mario game with his comeback title: UR MR GAY 2!

When I grow up I would rather [.....]

    A. Commute to work, wash clothes, pay the bills.
    B. Stay home, play Super Mario Galaxy 2

    :)

I turned 30 December just gone, and I can still say quite proudly that no video game has instilled the same sense of unadulterated joy in me in the same way that the original Galaxy did. For me, the original on the Wii is the best video game of this generation, simply because it is what games should always be - pure, undiluted fun.

    NOOOOOOO!

Not that goddamned move-the-remote-to-control-the-star-in-a-ball sections! I'd far prefer the accuracy of analogue stick control. Or not them at all.

    Crikey. That looks fucking amazing!
  • Caimbeul #23 2 years ago

Can a game look too awsome? i think this might!
  • illusiondance #24 2 years ago

wooow. im no follower of the mario but that just looks so amazing.
wonder if the score will be like that trailer or more of the retro style stuff they did before.
dont remember nintendo ever doing all out symphonic.

I loved to play Mario video game. Super Mario Galaxy is one of the 3D platform game which includes the amazing gravity-defying, physics-based exploration from the first game. In this game each galaxy contains many planets and other space matter also for the player to explore.
