    Looks fun but I'm not sold on the cartoony nature of the visuals...

    @KujiGhost

    Really? It's one of the best things about it i think, even more stylized than SF4.

    Far too many realistic looking games out there.

    I might get a lot of criticism for this, but other than a graphics polish- I can't see how fighting games have evolved for a long time.. I recently played my friend at Tekken (6?) and could beat him because the controls were exactly the same as Tekken 2. Personally I can't see myself spending £40 on something so similar...

    (if anyone could disprove me and enlighten me to as how fighting games have advanced then much appreciated!)

    @Nikator There isn’t much to evolve or advance. The mechanics of most modern fighting games are fluent and have a nice flow with combat, blocking, counter attacking ect. Soul Calibur is an excellent example.
    You can’t improve on the mechanics imo, only really add gimmicks like tag battles, Xray moves, power gauges, ect.
    You could add more fighting modes onto games but that has really been saturated now

    Is this going to be a 'wait for the deluxe super mega edition' thing because i'm a bit annoyed after they did that with MvC3 and SF4. Regardless i'll still probably wait a month for it to drop to £25 then pick it up.

    I really like the look of this. It does worry me that they've tried to put too much in and it'll end up being an unbalanced mess. Though I suppose that's all irrelevant when everyone ends up playing top tier anyway :)

    I'm no authority on fighting games but this looks like a lot of fun. Nice to see developers sharing their properties like this, I think it'll be pretty fascinating to see the results.

    @Nikator There's certainly an argument to say that fighting games haven't evolved that much, aside from visually. However, think of them like genre films or novels, fans will lap them up because it's what they love, done well.

    @afrogeez Totally agree. I can't justify getting on board when I know the game will be obsolete three to six months after release.
