I guess it's done to balance it out against some MK characters who also have unusual abilities... haven't been paying too much attention to this game, maybe the other DC characters also do crazy things.

Mark Hamill is done with the Joker after Batman: Gotham Asylum 2, though this guy here voicing him isn't too bad.
