    This if the first Gears game I may not be picking up, nothing wrong with it per se by the look of it, its just that I know the gameplay experience I'm going to get and I'm slightly fatigued by it.

    ^So you are fatigued by the gameplay type from other games that Gears of War first pioneered?

    I dont know of many 3rd person cover based shooters (with co-op and online features) of the same quality of Gears Of War.

    But i dont entirely disagree with you, i myself feel tired of pretty much all games which feature guns and combat as gameplay. But this is nothing new.

    The thing is Gears 3 will likely offer the best of such a genre this year and so is perfect for those who are looking for the next big title.

    Epic must be mentally bankrupt when it comes to level design. Run down street, hide behind K-Rail (weird how popular K-Rail is in alternate sci-fi universes), shoot, repeat. Oh, and cut-scene to guys either being really hard or shedding a tear.

    Regardless of how simple the formula is or how little they have manged to expand upon it, I can't wait to play it. I just pre-ordered it last week.

    The quality of Gears is unimpeachable, mine is merely a personal reaction to largely unchanging iteration. Nothing wrong with that, its the nature of the beast, but for me, enough is enough. I hope everyone who buys the game enjoys it.

    I kinda agree with irrelevanthuman. I like Gears franchise, have the LE pre-ordered, but may get more joy out of other games. Plus how many games there are I am interested in coming soon I have started being picky.
