Launch trailer of a game that is to be released in 1 1/2 month's time? Ah, well. Looks good, although judging from reviews it's an average game - mediocre for me, due to complaints about the story, which is one of the most important aspects for me in a game.

Playing videogames for stories...takes all kinds I suppose, Mirrors Edge is a high concept title, the story isn't executed as well as it could be, and its the very definition of tendy chic to have a big budget game about runners against mindless corporate lifestyles but then most games with a message are a sham.

The game is anything but average, that just doesn't means its brilliant, sadly developers seem duty bound to shoehorn combat into games that don't require it, great rush being chased by guards, but not so great when you have to overcome them head on, disrupts the flow er...man!

We need to acknowledge design flaws but ultimately support games like this to prove there is still a market for expensive original games.

Playing videogames for stories[...]
Yeah, I know, I'm weird. Weirder still, I used to play these adventure games, that focus on everything but the story.

Must be why fans call them story games and not adventure ones :P

Your point being... that there is, in fact, an entire genre of games that are story-oriented? Hm. Odd. Moment ago, you were surprised to think that such mythical creatures as sophisticated gamers exist.

I was annoyed at having to wait so much longer.

I am now happy at having to wait having seen this clip.

Happy happy joy joy.

I really hope this game sells well enough to warrant a sequel. It's a beautiful, progressive and enjoyable game, hampered by some irritating design flaws and being too short and linear. Please take the criticism on board and make more in the series, EA/DICE.

Great trailer, too.

The point being ChthonicEcho I thought we were having a bit of good natured fun being sarcastic, evidently not (you're still wrong about adventure titles mind, they're about pulp, puzzles, characters, incidental details not stories per say).

@Triggerhappytel - here, here its a little unfair to expect an original game to be as well conceived as a safe effort that has been refined over many sequels, yet some of the design choices meant to increase its appeal only serve to stifle its potential.
