This reminds me why I hate MGS games - waaaaay too much wannabe movie crap.

The last 2.5 minutes of this movie is the best. Raiden is such an awesome character now. Best Game of E3. ;)

McP MGS ownz ... nuff said

    Agreed :)

Love MGS, never found the games to be anything less than fun, and that's the point of games after all. Cutscene heavy, sure, but that doesn't change how fun and absorbing the game around those cutscenes is. In many cases, it actually adds to it for me.

Don't get on with the games at all, utterly despise the camera and controls, but this trailer is fantastic. :)

Brilliant choreography in the last 2 minutes.

One of the finest games series of our age.

I loved MGS2 in the way many philosophies are told, but also how the concept of politics that are just immerse, yet impossible nowadays! Makes you think for sure...and I guess I play it for the story afterall the last thing we want is countless games without a story. Come to think of it, many great games have some sort of story that gets you involved...with the exception of games like Tetris, Mario and the sort. So yeah, MGS4 seems my kinda thing! Although i hope those bloody monster/machines are hard to kill...why? So when you're Snake you will have a sense of fear, detected and you're dead, no more headshots (or maybe not)!

Anyway my prediction of the story is half-half...you control Snake in the first era, until Raiden has to protect him as hes near death or somthing...sounds pretty good to me!

Sorry bout the length (and content), just speakin' my brain!

Hmm, I was really enjoying this trailer until somebody mentioned the "la-li-lu-le-lo"...

Seriously, these graphics fully justify the existance of a console as powerful as the PS3. Completely astounding. Let us hope that it plays as well as the first game.

But doesn't anyone find the storyline just a tad depressing?
  • moosebiscuit #11 6 years ago

Damn, this sorta makes me want to get a PS3 now as i've always loved the MGS series. Meh, i guess i will just have to join the ranks of those waiting for a price drop.

can see they are pushing raiden as a 'cool' character. there was quite a few people annoyed by him in mgs2 just being a whiny little kid with relationship troubles.... now hes a sword wielding expert =).

animal mechs ths sound like cows
snake old and tired and gayboy's back again.

    Count me out.
  • JediMasterMalik #14 6 years ago

^They were biomechanical, and raiden looks cool this time around. n00b :p
  • ecureuil #15 6 years ago

Genius move making Raiden in to a badass ninja, after he was hated so much before.
  • freedumb #16 6 years ago

'The large robots lack something. Their feet look to weedy, the way they jump is not so convincing and their legs look too human, all be it, over sized human'

Thats because they aren't just ordinary mechs, they're biomechs, sort of a human/animal meta tissue crossed with machinery.

Am I the only one that liked Raiden, and thought it was genius how they sifted the perspective from snake?
    Probably.

    Wow...

I think I just realised who the guy from Ask A Ninja is... :D

The large robots lack something. Their feet look to weedy, the way they jump is not so convincing and their legs look too human, all be it, over sized human.

They're absolutely fantastic, in my opinion. Great animations, great sounds. The "natural touch" makes them a lot scarier than the were if they were just your generic mech. Brilliantly designed. :)

    hey

surely im not the only person to notice that the box (of melons) said 'no place for hideo' on, wots that all about? - seeing that no1's going to read this (its too late) i dont see why im bothering, oh well.
  • Onny #20 6 years ago

Doesn't it say "No place TO Hideo"? :)

Kojima said in past interviews that one of his aims in MGS4 was to make everyone like Raiden.

Loved the trailer. Those last two minutes were some of the best I have ever seen in a videogame. And the best has yet to come!

looks ok, wouldnt say its the only reason to get a ps3 tho. Need more than this to convince me.
