Metal Gear Solid 4 - Altair April Fool

Great stuff, the game play looks excellent.

MGS does look the nuts! Anyone know how the codec looks, I know I'll be watching that a lot of the time :)

When I saw this yesterday I was very confuddled, genius though. Bizarre idea and a very strange team up I thought...cool peek at the gameplay though.

This has just wet my appetite for MGS. This and GTA4 on PS3 this summer... It's goin' to be sweet!

Hidden Altair mode a possibility then? As a costume change?

I hope it's included in the final game as an easter egg.

Well ive just lost 65% of my interest in MGS4 if it plays like that.

My concern is that MGS4 has lost its roots. MGS & MGS2 were two of the finest games made. 3 was okey, but this looks like a stretch too far imo.

Hideo had already said that he admired the AC team in an earlier interview, this was no surprise, though it was quite nice to see.

To be honest the only MGS I ever enjoyed was on PSX... all the rest seemed a bit bollocks to me.

Mad isn't it. The best (and most impressive) look at MGS gameplay is from a April Fool stunt. It looks uttely phenomenal. The previous stuff didn't light my fire, but this is the mutt's nuts.

Arbiter - I beg to differ. It's just a reskin, so there's no reason to think there's any change in the gameplay (that would be massive task, and a bit much for an AFD stunt, even for Konami/Ubi). I think that's what we're going to be getting. OvO

Im inclined to agree with Arbiter on the possibility that this setting is purely iconic Trailer-fodder. Though i get a creeping feeling that the rest of the game proper will play out in eastern europe and a city in the usa. hmmm, i may try it if it turns up on ecksbocks.
