    Hmm, so no actual in-game footage then? Well I spose MGS is kind of like a movie anyways... hehe.

    I thought MGS3 was awesomo, but this doesn't make me excited for some reason. Maybe because that Noob Raiden is back ^_^.

    I cannot wait for this. I am incredibly curious about the storyline, it looks more dramatic than ever.

    Yes but I hate him. And he will probably still find time to moan about his relationship problems in between tank killing. :(.

    That’s a bit of a misnomer, isn't it?

    It _IS_ "in-game" footage, but doesn't show (well not anything noticeable) "playable" footage.

    I think this is one of the most impressive things I’ve seen to date, truly next gen :)

    By in game I mean actually playing the game. Not a cut-scene using the game engine.

    Well its not a bog standard cut-scene - Kojima does brilliant cut scenes. However that is all it is. I completely fail to understand people who start wetting themselves with excitement without actually seeing the actual GAME. I was completely befuddled by the reaction to Assasin's Creed - it is F**KING MOVIE! Maybe I am just getting old or something...

    You realise that it's IN-GAME footage LeDil, _NOT_ pre-rendered? Regardless of if its a cutscene or not.

    Maybe its because games have become more about just the gameplay. Metal Gear fans were rabid for any information about this game, even if it is a cut-scene its still showing what the most fans want to see, Snake and the rest of the character sheet. I don't need to see gameplay right now because well, its a Metal Gear Solid game I can pretty much form my own thoughts about what its going to be like.

    Same goes for Assasin's Creed, the setting and themes have grabbed people, if you want to know what the gameplay might be like then think about PoP Speed Kills.

    I suppose so. Just I cannot bring myself to do it - its too open to being massively disappointed, old cynic that I am ^_^.

    The storyline looks enticing as always. I was wondering how they were going to change Raiden's image in the West (though it's only because of the ridiculous whiny voiceover, in the Japanese version he had a lot more testosterone) - props to Kojima for turning him into a badass CYBORG :)

    I see that Hideo Koijima still prefers his shallow philosophical exposition to sound pretentious.

    Looks pretty though. I wonder if the actual game will look this way as well.

    People are excited because of the setting and the developer behind it, not because of the movie per se.

    Howdy, I've not yet played MGS3 but am really looking forward to getting started on it at the end of this month ... does this movie give anything away about it?

    God, one game maker has the balls to touch on some real themes and he gets shot down as being pretentious. So you just want the same shallow shit over and over again? It's never good enough is it? There's so much cynicism on these boards -_-

    I loved the way Kojima always touches on real world issues ie, terrorists ( i definately seen a Taliban do a forward roll in that movie), nukes, government censorship, its just makes the game seem more credible.

    Then again sometimes it seems like and education in world issues and kids dont get enough of that these days.

    Oh....My.....GOD OMG OMG OMG If Snake actually shoots himself at the end of the game - I just don't think it will be possible for me to EVER stop crying.... Like ever. Even on my wedding night I'll cry myself to sleep. lol.
