Mega Man 9 - Trailer

We're all for retro enthusiasm, but this seems like a strange decision to us. Still, no doubt Capcom will see a reasonable return on what can't have been a massive investment.

    WTF......I'm sorry I must have dozed off there. I was having this dream about MegaMan 9...no not some new updated version like bionic commando but, actaul megaman 9 with the blocky graphics. Funny dream hu.

    I think this is an amazing idea. I'm not a fan of Mega Man really, but imagine if they did this with other old franchises.

    Did what?!??

    This is the equivalent of me selling you my old amiga projects and getting you to run them on a free amiga emulator i.e. it's costing virtually nothing because absolutely nothing has been done to it. Money for nothing as the song says.

    This is so great. It's brilliant that they release something like this, it's definitely my most wanted title this year. I'm a bit surprised it's coming out for XBLA and PSN as well but I will definetly get this for my Wii because of the so much better dpad.

    Hope I will get to play this soon!

    penhalion: You seem to have missed the point that this isn't a rerelease. There is no old game called Mega Man 9; this is a brand new Mega Man game, done in the graphical and gameplay style of the old NES games. It's not money for nothing at all.

    What's next? Classic Pong again?! Nitrome's flash games are miles better than this pseudo-old school crap!

    Quite possibly one of the most IMPORTANT games of the year.

    If this is successful, who knows what other classics might get brought back to life.

    lol @ people moaning about this game. Graphics aint everything. Its one of the best old school titles Ive played in a while. Sega need to take a note out of Capcom's book and do a new 16bit Sonic title IMO
