I'm looking forward to MOH. Mainly for the single player but i'll give the multiplayer a good look once i'm finished with SP

I take it Call of Duty has become the World of Warcraft of first person shooters? 'Core' gamers hate it, while everyone's trying to copy its looks and mechanics, gauging the success of their franchise by comparing it to CoD.

Can't wait for the day when the age of military shooters comes to an end.

    @ChthonicEcho
That's a long way off. they will however move from 'Modern' into 'Future' soon if that's any consolation

The goal of the video seemed to be "how many explosions can we fit into 1:30 minutes". Turns out quite a lot.

"Honouring the brave soldiers" there by holding the posiition for 5 minutes.

Powerful and emotive stuff. It brought a tear to my eye.

As a side thought, if every person watching a vid on EG couldn't skip the Halo Reach advert by hitting refresh, and instead had to watch it EVERY SINGLE TIME.... how long would it be before people simply stopped watching videos on EG?

Just wondering, thought I'd throw it out there.

Edit: I don't mean that as an anti-Halo thing btw. I just mean that watching the same vid whatever it might be with alarming regularity is surely counterproductive in the long run. I wonder if the sponsors know their advert isn't actually being watched anywhere near as many times as the stats might suggest.

That looks almost identical to MW2. Im either getting this or black ops but im kinda hoping MoH will be better
  • Moz #8 2 years ago

How is this different to rush?
  • viper_h #9 2 years ago

@Kangarootoo What adverts? :p Ad Muncher ftw.

This looks just like MW/2... But I'll probably still pick up the PC version!

I am glad they keep bringing out videos of MOH. My decision to buy this game keeps growing, but then they bring out another video and I'm reminded of why I decided not to buy it in the first place! (mainly because it's a budget COD with no-recoil weapons!)

Happy to sit back and wait for some feeback on release instead of getting caught up in any hype machine.

A decent balanced mp shooter would be nice. Can't see Dice tarnishing their rep by doing a MW2 style cluster fuck.

Edit: there must be recoil??! Didn't play demo, was hoping that was just a fine tune thing.

Is it a prerequisite that everybody goes FULLY AUTOMATIC in MOH? I might have got the wrong end of the stick, but I thought the PR guys were selling this as the authentic/serious alternative to COD ... Anyway, looks like the US really takes it to Taliban. Appears to be a fun game if you're the good guys. Everyone knows that Taliban's are uneducated and stupid (that's the authentic PR part) Dice made sure that aim down slight is disabled and once a round the whole team is teleported in front of a US mounted machine gun. Therefore ensuring that every US solider can get loads of kills and commendations. They love their medals.

Well, for the first time ever this game suddenly peaked my interest. Looks good. Looks like MW, but better.

I'll rent it (as I will Black Ops) and give it a go.

Enough of the Halo ads already... is there anyone who doesn't know it's out, ffs...

In other news, MOH looks pretty sweet.
  • I\'mListening #15 2 years ago

If I didn't know this was a new MOH I would have thought this was COD.
  • Shikasama #16 2 years ago

But I already completed Battlefield Bad Company 2 =/
  • onezeonx #17 2 years ago

Beta was a little gash but the latest builds are looking AWESOME!

Hope it is as COD is getting old imo
  • gjgjg #18 2 years ago

I want to support EA and all, but how is this distinguishing itself from MW in any (e50) meaningful way exactly? Think I'll hold out for BCVietnam
  • riceNpea #19 2 years ago

ads? what ads? get an ad blocker. use firefox.

day one purchase. Dice involved means i'll enjoy it
  • Quixz #20 2 years ago

I cant wait to get my hands on this game. It's a good thing REACH will have been out for a month when this hits.
  • JediMasterMalik #21 2 years ago

It doesn't look as much like MW2 as it does BFBC2, which it looks pretty much exactly like. Even the on screen objective indicators are the same. Should be good though, I mean BC2 is excellent.
  • lonely_warrior #22 2 years ago

Beta was pants. Nowhere near as goof as COD Or even BC2...obviously DICE dont want to beat their own game...they really should aim for 60fps on consoles...then at least it would 'look' like it could compete with COD...
