    Not convinced about that.

It looks like the gameplay could hold this game back.

yeah being fresh from a game of GoW that looked very wooden, still its a KOTOR style RPG, I probably wont be buying it on the strenght of the combat system. :)

    Choppy framerate. :/

    WTF!!!!!

Awesome! Where did this come from???
  • Ryuken #5 5 years ago

    More action than rpg indeed.

I'm more interested now than ever.

Is the negativity coming from Bioware & RPG fans who see fps & vehicle combat as a divergence from the companies roots????

Ah, the other reason I bought Xbox 360 shows its quality. This is looking to be a lot of fun. It looks slick, and as an aside, some of that footage reminded me of the N64 shooter Body Harvest; so some additionally nice reminiscing to be had there. So, players are/can be in teams...This can be either AI or human, I guess?
There's shooting and exploration, RPG elements, advanced conversations, use of vehicles, and the Mass Effect itself.

    /Is quite confused :(
(Defo getting this, though, as I've been interested in it from day one.)

Well, if you want to talk about Bioware's roots then I think they have been walking away from them since NWN1 if you ask me. ME looks nice of course but I can't really say it's more than that.

Looks nice and interesting really. Its so hard for games to pique my interest lately. This one could turn out to be a winner. Some jittery framerate but nothing that cannot be sorted out till lauch. Fingers crossed.

Not impressed byt the combat. Will still most likely be getting it though.

I just hope they change the sound for the shotgun...

Wow i just do not like Xbox 360 games at all.

    /checks pulse.

What's wrong with the combat? It's just like a mana series' game, but sci-fi theme.

Bioware is, in my opinion, the best western rpg developer out there. Baldurs Gate, NWN, and KotOR were absolutely fantastic and i enjoyed a lot Jade Empire (which had some action rpg combat style and it was very well implemented).

This game caught my eye since the day I saw the first trailer. Can't wait till it gets out.

    This is looking great.

I thought the squad combat looked pretty cool... the more I see of this game, the more I'm interested (despite not having the hours to play a BioWare RPG)
  • quantumsheep #15 5 years ago

Is it just me, or does this remind anyone else of a very very pretty Brute Force?
  • Azazel #16 5 years ago

I am somewhat more convinced about the combat after watching that. I've always enjoyed Bioware's games - with the exception of NWN1.

Game of the Year 2007 my prediction. Looks and sounds bloody awesome.
  • Whizzo #18 5 years ago

    Looking good.

As long as MB don't sue for nicking Big Trak!
  • Bangaioh #19 5 years ago

Yeah, I quite like this. I do think that GOW is a benchmark but having said that this still looks good. This is on my wishlist together with Lost Planet (and probably Halo3 when I finally get to see something running).

    GoW comparisons to an RPG,

thats like apples and pregnant larmas that is,

I always feel oranges are actualy quite simliar to apples.
  • T4RG4 #21 5 years ago

WTF!! Some people are so easily pleased, thats why there are so many shit games out there.
  • drunkymonkey #22 5 years ago

This is the kind of game I buy consoles for. I love the idea of interrupting someone when they are speaking (because I am weird like that), and I think the story and setting looks really, really good.
I personally don't think it looks shit at all. The graphics of the thing look superb, with excellent facial animations; the character design is similarly excellent.
Bioware own at making RPGs and I don't think that this will be an exception.

Looks very good, i will buy this game on the strength of the developers other titles. And the music seems to suit the mood of the game very well.
