This game has made its way into the top 5 list of games to come for me.

The visuals are amazing! squad based RPG with big guns! woohoo

All good. Bioware involved is a good thing in my book as well.

This has amazing potential, but proof will be in the pudding, of course. If this is a space age Balgurs Gate, with the same amount of roaming available, I'm very interested.

Any idea when it is due?

Very exciting, but I've got doubts about the combat.

The exclusivity of Mass Effect is the only thing that might me convince to buy a Xbox 360 within the next year.

Bioware, develop a PC version, damnit! :-)

weirdly looking over right shoulder seems weird, would prefer looking over left shoulder.
  • dr_zoidthrob #9 6 years ago

I wonder if there'll be a psychotic droid that you can recruit...

It looks like KOTOR, just without the constraints. So it should be good.
  • foamy #10 6 years ago

@Grunk maybe you're left handed or so. I find it quite good.

Anyway, i want this game a lot. I'm a fan of Bioware's RPGs. Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, KotOR, Jade Empire. They never let me down, I really don't want them to screw the tradition they've been building along the years.

The fight scenes seem fantastic. When the first trailer came out I thought it would be semi-turn based combat like KotOR or Neverwinter, but Bioware makes a brilliant move with this combat system..

Makes me wanna buy a Xbox 360 right now ;D

I've always loved the look of Bioware games, its just the gameplay that I really really can't stand. looks like this game is'nt going to change my mind, I know its just a demo but damn the enemies just stand there and get shot, along with the main character just walking forward and firing.

I do like the shiny spacesuit boobs though.

absolutezero, well, it's an RPG anyway : /

I don't know how the XP will be handled if they're really that easy, but i'd like something more in the way of no-limit leveling. I want some uber-characters, with uber powers, that take hours to level. But for it to be a game for the general gamer I guess they'd had to permit both approaches: normal leveling, power leveling.. Difficulty that self-adjusts to your level would be good enough for me..

Looks very nice... All of Biowares games on the XBox and POC have been good so far, with the KOTOR and Jade Empire games being my favourite.

This is the game that will finally force me to buy a 360 ... I just hope it plays as good as it looks.
  • Azazel #17 6 years ago

Animation looks superb; up to valves standards.

*edit* - also, I am looking forward to customising my weapons for MAS... er... maximum damage.

looks lovely, I agree, it's KOTOR but in a different universe, i've been looking forward to this since i heard about it, and the video has done nothing to dissappoint.

Seconded. KotOR was a great game, but the combat was very stilted. Keep hitting A or B and watch animations play out, heal, move on, etc.

Jade Empire tried something new, but the combat was pathetically shallow and it lost a lot of depth from their previous games.

I've seen a few videos of Mass Effect so far, and the only stick in the mud for me seems to be the fighting so far.
  • space_ace #20 6 years ago

    a new star control?! unbelievable!
  • Virgil #21 6 years ago

I dunno the combat seems good imo, It could present the answer to the problems of so many rpg haters. This is just a short demo after all.
