Another round of useless pre-order bonuses.
  • the_dudefather #4 5 months ago

hey, better the dev makes boring pre-order bonuses which are just items with different stats rather than locking out modes or characters

Definitely won't be bothering with this pointless pre-order. I pre-ordered the collectors edition of ME2 which was the biggest mistake I ever made.

My collectors edition "Shitin" armour was the worst thing. Couldn't even take the helmet off to see my Shepard's bland face in conversations. :(

    Lol.

think i'll be waiting for the round of DLC sales to pick this up cheap late 2012.

Buying things new is just silly these days.

So many issues with pre-order games in 2011 albeit multi-GPU related -- Crysis 2, Rage, Skyrim, Batman: Arkham City (still not working in DX11) -- that I am no longer going to pre-order.

Not for a DLC gun that will be sold asap in a DLC pack anyway.

Also, if this is Origin only on PC I might buy on another platform instead.

Being honest, it'll be armour that would be more a draw for me than a weapon.

As a counter weight to the negativity, looking forward to this immensely. Day booked of and all.

    Again - Fuck off.
  • BlackKraken #12 5 months ago

Finally! A pre order deal I care about.

Oh wait, the gun is in game? Never mind.
  • TeaFiend #13 5 months ago

They are now releasing trailers for pre-order DLC? Fuck off.

To quote the mighty Zorg of old: "Somewhere in the world, a 13 year old boy wees himself just a little."

Are we really missing out on an entire character if we don't buy the special edition for £20 more?

I hate these stupid promotions. I'll never use most of this crap - but that doesn't mean I don't want it all anyway! I must have everything. Hoard. Collect.

Am I the only one who read the title as Argos Assault rifle? I was thinking, who wants an Argos assault rifle? Their colour scheme is dreadful.

I'm one of those people who will "fall" for these edition bonuses. In case of ME3 I pre-ordered the Collectors edition to get access to the bonus character and missions, being a big fan I just want the most complete experience storywise. I couldn't care less for a gun or suit of armor though.

M55 Argus Assault Rifle for everyone who preorders... or pirates.
The rest of us legitimate buyers can fuck off.

Preorder Battlefield 3 and get a whole expansion pack with several new vehicles and maps and shit, pre-order the biggest action RPG like what? Ever? and get a lousy gun? Like WTF Bioware!!! Bioware only want's our money these days sadly.

Glad to see the batman debaucle has opened everyones eyes to the nonsense of pre-order bonuses. As for collectors editions. I got royally burned on the ME2 collectors so going nowhere near the ME3 one.

I'll just pick up a standard cheap box and max my shepard out the way I did it in all the other games i.e. by exploring and doing the side missions.....wonder what way they've found to knobble that though. Will I need to play multiplayer just to ensure that I get the good ending or some crap like that.
