I think the position Kotaku took on this is most accurate. Detrimental fan-made vibe.

It's Mass Effect, but why bother making this averageness when they could have pre-rendered the same thing in the style of the game and it would have looked MUCH better?

Hmmmm Promos seem to be getting worse.
The TV ad (of which was never shown here, stupidly) of ME1 ("Many decisions lie ahead, none of them easy" was chilling and beautiful.
The ME2 trailer (the one with the epic score-piece that is used in every single promo ad these days, from football to tv shows) was epic and bombastic.

Hopefully they can pretend this never happened and just do a proper promo. Don't want "Battle: ME" up in here.

Edit: I swear people don't even know why they neg posts these days.

Anyone else remember that fight in New Mombasa? This looks the same but with the enemy ships turned through 90 degrees, the cunning fiends.

Yawn. Orson Welles used the language and mechanics of broadcast media to lend authenticity to an imminent alien invasion some 80 years ago. Can't believe they are still trying to do this today, without even a single shred of irony.
