Except for the "This time it's darker" thing. That happens with every game EVER and still they keep saying it like it's a revelation. It's getting a little boring TBH.

What if you erase your save? I'm assuming the game will have a canon narrative since there are official book spin offs and everything. Either that or they will get you to make choices about your character before you start.

That looks awesome, please don't delay the PC version, and for gods sake improve the fucking inventory system.

Totally agree with everyone on this... I loved the first game. One of my all time favourites. Great music, voice acting, design and story telling. And totally agree, I think Mass Effect 2 will be one of the best games of the year. The guys behind this series are some of the best in the industry.

I hope they don't focus too much on the action just because ADD teenagers found that there's too much dialogue in the game.

I think the focus on action that we've seen so far is mostly because they don't want to reveal too much about the storyline if they can help it. The ME community are really going out of their way to avoid spoilers in every possible way, it's quite scary. Also, by showing some improvements to the graphical quality and action they're dealing with two big criticisms of the first game. Many reviews marked ME down for combat, so by establishing that the combat in ME2 will be fine and dandy early on they can focus on more important reveals later.

And I wouldn't worry about it affecting the quality of the storyline - the script has been pencilled in since before Mass Effect 1 was even revealed. So has ME3 in fact. Doubltess they've made some changes, but you've got the same writer [Drew Karpyshyn] and development team, so I think it's in safe hands! ^_^

This is a lighter game. With more jokes and colors. And moustaches.

I'm full aware. I am more worried that we will be fighting far more often in ME2 than listening to brilliantly written dialogue. I am more worried that there will be far more quests involving killing than quests involving diplomacy. I'm worried that ME2 will be the Warrior Within of the ME trilogy.

Needless to say, though, I loved ME and I can only barely suppress my excitement about ME2 after this trailer.

No mention on improved AI or visuals which were both beyond abysmal in the original game, nor further mention on that dreaded multi-player function.

After E3 those of us with a sense of what makes a good game (and, to be fair, that means none of you, probably) will have a good idea of whether ME2 will be shit or not.

I always find it funny that people moan about fighting in RPG's when 90% of any quest in any rpg is solved by combat (this is also underlined that 95% of all items that you will ever find are in some way involved in combat). Without it, they would become boring rather quickly.
The key is to have brilliant combat mixed with a good topping of story and depth. ME1 clearly had that right so now that they are expanding the combat part, it can only get better.

I thought the combat could be improved considerably compared to the first game, it looks like they've tried so I guess we'll see how it turns out.

Sure they can improve the combat. Wasn't really commenting on that.

ME1 shows a lot of places where you can see that they had an idea but just ran out of time. Hopefully they are more polished this time.

You should get it for PC. It comes free with the Bring down the Sky DLC. Bit of a system hog but you never know.

Loved the PC version to bits, especially after the patch that fixed some horrid bugs. It was brilliant. Ran sweet and smooth on my system. Great story, great fun.

But please don't delay the PC version for ages this time!
