This totally sucks. I mean, I am all out for wii and innovative but I get tired pressing four buttons on Rise of Apocalypse let alone having to do all those moves during the game. It gets old fast. Hope they have the sense to have alternate control schemes for the game.

And not everyone has a bloody army to play games with.

Oof. I feel tired just watching that!

I got the feeling from reading the early reviews that this sort of extreme arm waving doesnt actually work, its all just marketing hype and the reality is that the controllers are sensitive and require gentle flicks of the wrist.
These actors are just that, actors, and its all make believe. My initial enthusiasm for the Wii has mellowed considerably and this sort of ludiccrous advert only makes it worse.
Still got it on pre-order though, I've got to hope its not all lies.

Yeah true you do not need to go through all these shenanigans to get the game working. In fact you can play the game sitting down and use relatively gentle movements on the controller. You can still stand up and do a full cardio work out if you are so inclined. Still I would prefer to have an option. The developers for Metal Slug Anthology seem to be getting it right giving you 6 different ways to control the game. From the simplest to the most complicated.

Does make me hope the guys of Project H.A.M.M.E.R thingamabob go back to the drawing board. This actually looks better then that game did from the E3 videos.
