Mario Kart Wii - Opening cinematic

We're sensing a hidden narrative here in the opening credits movie of Mario Kart Wii. The two brothers are enjoying a friendly tussle, just horsing around, when who turns up but the Princess, getting in the way and begging for Mario's attention before brutally buffeting Luigi into third place. Poor old Luigi, whither his Princess, eh?
