I gotta say i dont really like all the back flips and being shot out of a cannon ect.
what made the original so good was the simplicity, it seems to have lost that over the years....shame

I'm not worried, battle mode is your mario kart party. Races will be skill based precision line keeping and strategic power-up usage like they have always been. Graphics and sound look mighty fine to me. Accessible and deep, best racing games ever.

The gameplay in single player looks good, but shame they cut back on the Multiplayer where you can do the full GP with a friend.

If this game looks as good as Mario Kart Double-Dash!! then I'll be deliriously happy because that game looked gorgeous, dripping in colour and flamboyantly cartoonish. It's the gameplay that matters though and I'm sure Mario Kart Wii won't disappoint, I've enjoyed all the games in the series so far.

Mario Kart DD looks lush on a good LCD, so should this.
The 13-15 year olds seem pissed there are no Toyota Supras with big tits in the game.
TBH though, I'm sick of the Mario characters and sound affects now, Nintendo desperatley needs a new ip, nothing wrong with the game itself. Can you race Miis ?
