And what about those of us who don't own an Nvidia graphics card? Thanks, 2K Games, for alienating just about half your PC customers.

Well that's the choice you make between ATI & Nvidia.
I'm definatly preffering eyefinity over Physx and i guess it's playable without Physx.

They haven't alienated anyone, software accelerated engines could never pull this off, it's just an added bonus.

That's like bashing Microsoft or Sony for creating console exclusives.

There shouldn't have to be a choice. Physics engines can and should be as hardware neutral as possible by being implemented around OpenCL, DirectCompute or something similar. Abstraction is a good thing as DirectX, OpenGL and a pile of other techs can attest.

Coding something as fundamental as physics to a specific graphics manufacturer when half your audience is using another is just a bad idea. And I say that even though I own an NVidia card.

Sooo, in one scene the guy gets blown away from an explosion, in an another he doesn't? (scene with grenade(?) that seems to bounce onto the hood) All that shrapnel and game over?

And they decided to demo this as Physx..

    Great job..

Whether you got PhysX or not, you'll be able to play the game without a too great difference in graphics. PhysX is more of a performance enhancement than a graphics enhancement anyway since the best graphics cards on the market can pull it without the need of a secondary graphic card.
