Plus, it looks nothing like LOTR as filmed, and the music certainly ain't Howard Shore.

Oh, poor Tolkien, what products label themselves "Lord of the Rings" these days. @YMH: They said from the get-go they wouldn't copy the movies. Alas, they didn't copy the books, either, or yet Tolkien's own sketches and drawings. Instead, the release YetAnotherGenericMMORPGLand and put a LotR-label on it to milk the good professor's work . But then, since everyone does so these days, who can blame them? I'd just advise to stay clear of Oxford, there should be a high likelihood of earthquakes there what with the professor turning over in his grave....

The Codies Beta 'stress' test, last weekend, was an umitigated disaster.

After trying to repeatedly login, even though they'd extended the login deadline to midnight Sunday (if you logged in during the stress test, your login would be enabled for further beta testing), I just gave up.

Yes, I understood the 'reason' for the stress test, but a shitload of players couldn't even get past the authentication server login, let alone actually get to the game and give feedback on the performance.

Codemasters are fucking amateurs in a big boys world. Bad move for Turbine to get involved with them. I smell disaster...

I'm probably going to get flamed by xXxLegolasxXx and Frodo111, but this is going to look nice, but gameplay will be awful.

14 day trial should suffice. I'll settle with 2.
