Anyone else notice Chell running through the background? That was a nice moment. I also thought they got the likenesses of Nathan Drake and Cole McGrath pretty darn close.

Like it clever advert. Doesnt matter whether you are a PS3 owner or 360 owner(own both so dont start!!), got to admit thats using the characters efectively, fun advert to actually watch. Drake was cool, guessing the soldiers were from the first resistance, couldnt work out where else they could come from, sackboy playing chess then Ezio turning up at the end was cool.

It's not a new theme, at least I seem to recall another PS3 add a couple years back taking that line.
Pretty good though, I just can't help imagining how very different the majority comments would be if MS tried to umm, [/i]take possession[/i] of third party characters in the same way...

Just noticed the bald dude sat is Agent 47, you notice the barcode on his head, there is also a Helghan in the background with glowing yellow eyes beside the candles behind Kratos, just spotted the portal ref!

There is also Issac from Dead Space, and noticed you have the main female character from FF13 talking to Drake

Am I alone in finding it a bit cheesy? Painfully cheesy? It's just not as good or smart as the PS1 Double Life ad. It seems just a bit like fanboy service, spot the character etc.

Still interesting to spot how the US PS adverts actively target the hardcore rather than the annoying European ones.

In an advert about "the player," it's odd that they chose to gave him a name and a face at all- since it necessarily limits what should be an open fantasy. As it stands, the commercial is limiting "the player" to young white males in general, and those named "Michael" in particular.

I think it would be better if the player was a faceless diety-like character with a generic title like "the user" or "the player. I think it should have been a nameless character to encompass anyone who plays these games
