    It's Iraq in the future. lol.
    Do you think they'll ever be a European produced game with actual European voice talent?

    @Mercatoria - i take it you havnet played fable 2 then, most of the voices are from the Midlands & Dudley.

    Hope they don't mess up the first game's slower, more tactical play. If not, I'll get it. The art style is incredible.

  • bodypopper #10 4 years ago

    Weren't they supposed to be dishing out public beta keys about now?
  • Gazza_UK #11 4 years ago

    Brian Cox has a great voice for the Helghast leader, glad to see they got him back again
  • illusiondance #12 4 years ago

    its (probably) not right but i always feel a bit sorry for the helghast, all bald and rotting on their depressing homeworld an stuff.
    still they are lead by the mighty Cox so thats something eh?

    i see where Mercatoria is coming from (he means in general game dev i think) but its simple and cynical business: What is the lowest common denominator in gaming market? North America.
    So, a lack of courage will drive most companies to establish an american hero as default.
    its exactly the same for films... {booo}

    Looks generic as fuck. It amuses me when PS3 fanboys say "Oh 360 just has shooters with big manly man" and then something like this comes along as they all orgasm over it.

    And Killzone 1 was average at best so why all the hype over this?
  • guernican #14 4 years ago

    I didn't realise PS3 had fanboys in the same way. Don't we just tend to be older and with enough money to afford a better piece of hardware?
  • sport #15 4 years ago

    ZOMG!! G3ARS KILLA!!111!! LOL11!
  • mazzl #16 4 years ago

    @guernican
    you mean out of touch with what is the new standard in gaming ;)
    it looks pretty nice, hope it plays well for you lot

    I've played the game up to level 8 and that looks nothing like it, in fact that's really embellishing on the look of the Helghan, in the game they are no where near as interesting.

    Judging by what i saw being played at the expo yesterday this is going to be really really good!

    I was also really impressed by what I played at the Expo. The controls are tight and have the right weight to them, the guns feel dangerous and (unlike the first game) the Helghast react superbly when shot. You can also jump and melee on demand, which was something I really wanted in the first game ;)

    In short, going by the 20 minutes or so I played and probably three times that spent watching, this looks like fulfilling all the potential laid out by the first game. It's now one of my most wanted of next year.

    EEEK, looks stunning. Ps3 may actually deliver eh?
  • Triggerhappytel #22 4 years ago

    Oh man, I've just watched that, and what a superb trailer. I love the design of the Helghast; they still have the ghostly space-Nazi look, but with enough variety in the character models to hopefully douse repetition.

    Looking forward to this so much.

    xbots gtfoh please and go look at geow2 instead.
    I played all the latest games thanks to the expo and nothing comes close to killzone 2. Its fucking crazy i mean remember when cod4 set the standard for fps's? well killzone just set a new one.

  • Nomz #26 4 years ago

    Just watch this trailer in all its HD glory and then talk! And oh yeah all you 360 fanboys go back to your RROD, GeOW2, DVD9 etc etc PS3 is the future not the past!
  • illusiondance #27 4 years ago

    living up to the potential set by the first game? certainly.
    putting a jump button in? bollocks to that, loads of great developers have shown us that this is a shitty throwback to the horrid quake days of shooters.
    i was hoping Guerilla would keep it as realistic as possible. looks cool otherwise
