interesting story approach, a bit of innovation, held back by shoddy a cover system, a somewhat obnoxious camera shake (which can be turned off) and mediocre gunplay.
7/10.

Pretty much what JahB said
Although I actually quite liked the camera shake / effects and feel it helps differentiate is from the crowd. That in its self is enough of a reason to give it a bit of time IMO. OTOH, the cover system is holding it back a little and the gun play, while compelling, doesn't make me want to do it over and over and over again. Couple that with the fact that I've heard the single player is a short experience (5hrs) that pretty much plays the same way for the opening 30 mins as it does for the entirety of the SP. For me, it looks decent but I think I'll be waiting for a bargain section deal, if anything at all.

But the demo was short, so i didnt really get a real taste of what the game was like (though as i said i didnt like the effects), i was considering buying it, but i dont think its going to be my cup of tea.

7 is too generous.A 5 is more like it.Rubbish cover system & story and possibly the most repetitive gameplay we've seen in a very long time. You'll be glad it's a very short game.Just as Ron_Justice wrote, the game plays exactly the same way from start to end.
I don't see how any reviewer will recommend this,or give it any score above 6.

visually I liked the demo even thought the camera was somewhat vomit inducing especially when running
enemy AI was quite hard
liked the art direction, sound design and overall atmosphere...
even though I was also wondering are video compression artifacts only there to hide crappy graphics?
err SP is only 5 hrs? :/
Mnnnn...
