I wrote this off as vapourware months ago. I do hope it eventually gets released though, I would really love a new space MMO, and though I've tried a few times over the last couple of years I just can't get back into Eve (I originally played it for perhaps six months right after release).

At this time though Black Prophecy is looking like the better horse to place my bets on than JE. And from what I've seen and read about both, BP arguably also seems like it might be a better game.

Good to see its still under developement, seemed to just drop off the radar a while back.

Space sims are so few and far between these days. I think I'd take a regularly updated MMO over most of the recent attempts at the genre *glares at DarkStar:one*

There are far too many elves, dwarves and swords in both MMOs and singleplayer RPGs. I didn't use to mind really, once upon a time I was just as much a fantasy as a sci-fi fan, but I must admit that seems to have changed over the last few years as I'm just about fed up with fantasy (or at least the "high fantasy" variant, I'm reading and enjoying The Complete Conan Chronicles at the moment).

That may be one of the reasons why Mass Effect 2 is my favourite RPG since Planescape: Torment.
