    When is this being reviewed?
  • FreakyZoid #2 2 years ago

    So, Hydrophobia is in relation to chemicals, and chemical reactions. Aquaphobia is a fear of water. They do know that, don't they?

    @FreakyZoid

    Water is a chemical and fire is a chemical reaction so maybe they're just being accurate. ;)

    The gameplay and environments look like a lot of fun but is ruined (for me) by the out of character dialogue. The girl acts pretty well, but what she's forced to say just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. And the guy knows everything but behaves like he knows nothing, which either sets him up as the bad guy, or is just badly written.

    Would probably have liked this a lot it better if there hadn't been dialogue at all.

    But I won't dismiss it outright, the game play does look like fun and perhaps the chatter dies off after a while.

    Impressive water...

    Oooh maybe the big twist at the end is that she is a water elemental!

    Only thing I can think of to explain why massive torrents of water have no effect on her and how she can run at full speed through waist-high floods.

    Is she meant to be Irish? The guy's Scottish accent is amazing! Reminds me of Dad's Army...

    "We're all doomed!"

    OK 1200pts is the standard for the "bigger or new titles" most of the 800pts games are old ports

    Its total BS all games were 800pts and now it seems all the "bigger or new titles" are 1200pts even episodes of sonic FFS!
    its a shame because if they werent so greedy they would sell more and ironicly make more money

    Scores for this are all over the place - 3/10 from EDGE, 7/10 from GamesTM.

    Was really surprsed, those two mags normally broadly agree with each other.

    @Bugaboo

    What about last year?

    Would be interesting to see if there is an increasing trend of releasing things at higher prices.
  • TessaTickle #17 2 years ago

    Yes, the water looks OK as a surface but the way it interacts with everything and how everything interacts with it is totally wrong. When you're waist deep in water, you certainly can't keep on running as if there was no water. Bollocks. I'm prepared to overlook a whole bunch of things in movies / games but if you are using water, you can't ask me to selectively accept some of its attributes whilst ignoring glaring holes where other attributes of said element are missing.

    They should make a game based on the book "Pigheart Boy".
  • darth_paul #19 2 years ago

    hmmm. tried the demo yesterday... hmm... didnt like it. spent more time trying to figure out where to go and what to do.
  • DAN.E.B #20 2 years ago

    @bugaboo

    Yeah I know what your saying! but it just reeks of pushing up prices to see how far they can go
    and like I said before sell them for less get more buyers make more money.
