I'd buy this but the online pass thing really puts me off. It's not on Steam either.

The first bit of the music makes me think I'm going to see a bunch of squaddies in a line dancing the macarena.

im still unsure about this tbh, i started off really excited about, went to complete apathy when i saw some very rough videos of it, but some more recent videos swayed me back slightly, so im going to wait to see what the general review consensus says and try get a better idea of this game before making any rash decision. Ill probably wait to see what people say about the mp on forums too, as every mp seems to get kinda overlooked in reviews these days, with a quick "yeah, the mp is kinda fun, but nothing really new blah blah" and we are promptly forced to endure online issues and bugs galore for months

4 Hour Campaign mode with he biggest cop out ending ever
Even buggier multiplayer than Black Ops (An achievement in itself)
    Racism, and lots of it

THQ paid for the advertising though so 6/10 it is.

u were in beta or something? I wouldnt be surprised if it was buggy, but show me an mp that isnt these days. 4 hr campaign might be a blessing tbh lol, cant remember last decent fps campaign.

Thankfully review is imminent. I'd like something different to play from BlOps or BC2 (and I wasn't over-enthused by Crysis 2 MP) but couldn't bring myself to pre-order. Some of the MP videos on Youtube has interesting ideas but the implementation looked a bit "rustic".

I am really not liking this game from the trailers i've seen up to now. It is way to american centric. When watching these trailers I just get the feeling that all it does is glorify americans.

Did this get pushed back? I thought it was being released same day as DA 2. I'll still be playing DA 2 for the foreseeable future so I'll not be picking this up at least, not right away. Wish this was the same as Metro 2033 in that they should have focused on a single player campaign.

Isnt that what its supposed to do? It is a US occupation game and THQ makes no bones about that

    @Eraysor
You get the online pass code with the game if you buy it new

Almost feels like a Vietnam shooter but the setting is in the modern US.

"The 4 hour campaign sheep/hate train is getting old now. From what I've read it takes about 7 hours if you don't rush through on easy, which is about right for a FPS. Apart from Half Life 2 there hasn't been many shooters that clock in at over 10 hours anyway, theres a reason for that.

My friend has completed Dead Space 2 in 3 hours on the hardest setting.......ZOMG 3 HOUR CAMPAIGN LOLZ"

We can only go by what the reviews are saying, and there's always going to be differing abilities of gamers and thus differing times for completion, but if reviews are coming in saying that they are completing it in 5 hrs and that's on 1st time round( whereas I'm guessing ur friend played it previously on another difficulty setting and this took him longer having not played game previously) then thats hardly something to get excited about.
I can still let it slide if mp is great, but certainly if someone isn't interested in the mp, they would be pretty pissed off having paid 40 quid for a 5( ok let's say they naff at games and drag it out to 7).

The game is looking terrible. Will wait to see what reviews say.

No arguments here about it being mp based, but I bet like all other conpanies, if their online part is buggy as hell, they'd revert to the standard "you paid for the sp, the mp is free and subject imperfections , so u can't complain" stance.

I personally think it's tad short , but if it's common knowledge and the mp is good, then I'm happy.
