    If the soundtrack isn't by Queen I'm not interested!!!

  • guernican #2 4 years ago

    First I've heard of this.

    Actually, in theory it's a no-brainer, isn't it? Diverse settings and all that: you could switch from fighting style to fighting style. Could potentially be rather cool. It'll probably be bollocks, though.

    Nice accent. *cough*

    @guernican

    After that first movie (which was cool!) everything Highlander has been bollocks!

    "There can be only one"... and the other 2 versions sidle on. That's gotta be deliberate.

    I was looking forward to hearing Christopher Lambert's amazingly dubious scottish accent but looks like they employed an actual scot.

    I disagree. while follow up films could not live up to the first movie, the TV series actually did a fairly good job of it. Yes, there were a few inconsistencies with the original film, but overall I thought it worked fairly well.

    As for the game, inside I'm excited but on the outside I know this could be a really big let down!

    @everyone.

    There was more than one movie? There was a TV series??

    You boys are hanging around in the wrong part of the video store. But what I meant was the chance to move from historical period to historical period. Samurai swords in Japan. Big clunky broadswords in feudal England. And so on.

    Course, I'm sure this potential completely escaped the minds of the developers. But while we're on the subject, all that bobbins about him fighting in mediaeval Japan and so on... wasn't Highlander a 17th century Scotsman?

    Fairly crap video, and will almost certainly turn out to be a shite game. Sorry Eidos, I try to love you but I have no faith in this game...

    how could he ha' got tha' accent in rome?
  • hrodelbert #10 4 years ago

    caledonian slave taken back to rome by the Romans! I'd love this to be good but i doubt it will be sadly. Highlander was a great film and number 2 was relatively entertaining at least, past that it was shite, think they are up to 5 or 6 straight to dvd stuff.

    If there's no Queen soundtrack, the fans wont buy it. and that's a fact.
