After a three year development hiatus, Highlander is back. It's a time-spanning adventure featuring plenty of sword-play (duh) dated for later this year.

Actually, in theory it's a no-brainer, isn't it? Diverse settings and all that: you could switch from fighting style to fighting style. Could potentially be rather cool. It'll probably be bollocks, though.

After that first movie (which was cool!) everything Highlander has been bollocks!

I was looking forward to hearing Christopher Lambert's amazingly dubious scottish accent but looks like they employed an actual scot.

I disagree. while follow up films could not live up to the first movie, the TV series actually did a fairly good job of it. Yes, there were a few inconsistencies with the original film, but overall I thought it worked fairly well.
As for the game, inside I'm excited but on the outside I know this could be a really big let down!

There was more than one movie? There was a TV series??
You boys are hanging around in the wrong part of the video store. But what I meant was the chance to move from historical period to historical period. Samurai swords in Japan. Big clunky broadswords in feudal England. And so on.
Course, I'm sure this potential completely escaped the minds of the developers. But while we're on the subject, all that bobbins about him fighting in mediaeval Japan and so on... wasn't Highlander a 17th century Scotsman?
