Telltale Games talk The Walking Dead in new developer diary
Published 7 August, 2007 Duration 2:29
A distinctly crisper looking video for Flagship Studio's demon-basher. EA have confirmed an early November release date in Europe, with the US getting the 'Halloween sweet spot' release on the 31st of October.

Still, I'm am consistently wrong about games. Good job I don't do it for a living.

After the initial hype the game was getting H:L becomes less and less attractive with each gameplay movie/trailer I'm watching...

im reserving judgement on this one! could be good could be cack, tbh i think this one will depend on how many arseholes are in the community.

Exactly. I still think most people don't understand what kind of game it is, as you always see comparisons to first- and third person shooters.
That's not what the game is. It's an action-RPG that's about mindlessly killing thousands of monsters and maximizing your character and equipment. In other words: the videos won't tell you if the game succeeds in that respect (items, skills, addictiveness). What it does show you is that the basic Diablo seem to be in place.

If these games work, they are less a game and more like a drug. No other genre gets me into the "zone" as much as a good action-RPG does. The repetitiveness of the basic elements (combined with the incentice to constantly find something new/improve your character) is its secret, which is why all negative criticism in this regard is a big misunderstanding. It's the Zen of gaming.
Obviosuly, if this doesn't work for you, you won't like the genre. But seriously, you have no idea what you're missing.

I'm a little more likely to give this a pop now. I was originally excited about this title, but every time I saw more footage I was less and less interested. This might just have sold the game to me at last.
