Hellgate London - Questdesign

Published 20 September, 2007 Duration 3:29

Two quests from Flagship's Blighty based beastie basher in action. the first is from a quest designed to be played RTS style, issuing orders to units, the second puts you in command of a defensive turret, fighting off the descending hordes.

Whos in charge of these releases. Who gives the green light saying "Yeah that looks good, release it, its a sure fire hit of a video that'll bring in all gamers to our game" cos they need sacking. Those 2 clips pushed me further away from the game. I keep thinking at the back of my head "it sounds good, it just has to be, the videos are wrong" but still here are the videos of actual gameplay looking dull.

Am I just getting cynical and old. The new crysis vids are not staggering me (the alien/ice levels), this games vidoes are pathetic, that resident evil shooter is looking pants too. Nothing is interesting me anymore.

This is slowly looking like it'll be one of the most disappointing releases in ages.

Well, I disagree completely - it looks terrific to me. It gives me exactly the Diablo vibe I expect from the game.

I've got to say that the comments to the Hellgate videos really confuse me, as I am at a complete loss what people expect.

That cannon was shaking way too much, I understand a bit of "realistic" vibration but a few seconds of that I was ready to blow chunks.

I have absolutely no idea what I just watched. Where's the real Hellgate: London?

Lordy but this looks pants. I had realy high expectations for this but it is hard to see wtf is going on in the 1st section. 2nd bit was erm "unsusual". I mean do we really need a beachead clone?

I have actually gone from dead cert purchase to a maybe...
