    Hype O_O
There are going to be some amazing creations with this...
  • richardiox #2 2 years ago

Wow, just wow. Bungie really are king.
  • Demiath #3 2 years ago

Great stuff in theory (as all mod tools are); although I'm sure we'll see a great deal of user-made content which is characterized by, uh, Freudian tendencies, if you know what I mean...

    Halo Reach: Built to last.
Honestly, I haven't been this excited about a halo game since Halo 1. This has the Combat Evolved vibe written all over it.

    I CAN'T WAIT.
  • phAge #6 2 years ago

Oh my. That does look pretty much all kinds of awesome. Now all we need is a way of making SP missions in Forge, and Reach never has to die...
  • mcmonkeyplc #7 2 years ago

Very nice, kind of made me sad saying it's their swan song. Needs to be done though. Bungie need to move on.

Let's hope 343 studios can step up to the challenge. They've stolen enough staff to get a decent start now :)

    What's that noise?

Oh. It's the sound of the PS3 fanboys dabbing away their tears and imagining up a venomous response to this video.

This game is gonna be amazing. I am a massive Halo fan, and i was seriously hyped about Halo 2 and Halo 3. But this is on another level.
  • Razorus #9 2 years ago

It's like.....Inception! Building your dream world! This is really ambitious and looks amazing. I can't wait to see some clever creations. I can already picture ideas for maps I have, though tbh, I kinda suck at creating things in games like these (Forge, Timesplitters, LittleBigPlanet etc)

"Oh. It's the sound of the PS3 fanboys dabbing away their tears and imagining up a venomous response to this video."

Actually it's the sound of a PS3 fan seriously considering a 360 purchase. Between this, Mass Effect 2, Limbo and the new revised model I feel compelled to splash some cash.
  • CaptainQuint #11 2 years ago

Bungie are just taking the piss now. Ambition is what makes them stand apart from the clones.

This is gonna be a mighty package.
  • retr0gamer #12 2 years ago

Halo 3's forge was a poor excuse for a level editor. This looks significantly better. However why can't they just include a full map editor. Farcry Instincts and Farcry 2 did it so it's possible.
  • FourS33N #13 2 years ago

Actually considering getting this now. i loved farcry2's map editor but i felt halo 3's lacked somthing. but this... wow. !
  • Vin #14 2 years ago

This is looking phenomenal. It pulls my heart strings knowing this is Bungie's last Halo game.
  • bodypopper #15 2 years ago

Can't watch the vid at work. Can you upload maps for anyone to play as with Farcry 2? Bit limited otherwise.
Reach is looking great though and superb value.
Played the Firefight mode against AI Covenant t'other day - very addictive.

    ^ sounds like it.

    Looks cool.
  • patchbox360 #17 2 years ago

hype that is totally justified - i salute Halo Reach
  • RedSparrows #18 2 years ago

Far Cry 2 has had a very good editor, albeit the file system was nowhere near as slick as H3.

It's a shame Forge 2.0 isn't a full fledged map editor, but in the same way it's a shame someone gives you 5 scoops of ice cream and not 8. It looks awesome - as long as there are enough lighting/atmospheric effects to change the look and feel of maps!
  • Raiten #19 2 years ago

@retr0gamer, well one good reason for not providing a proper full map editor would be that, if they were to release something like that there'd be no point in dlc providing maps.. i'd guess people at MS would rip their hairs out if something like that were to hapen.
I mean why would you deliberately snuff out a good source of income ?
  • ISmoke #20 2 years ago

    Tidy.

Looking forward to this game quite a bit
  • MegaCadet #21 2 years ago

I'm gonna miss Bungie. But atleast they are going to go out in a bang with Reach.

I wasn't going to buy reach. But I loved the original Halo (hated the flood). This is making me believe!
  • obihobson #24 2 years ago

some of the user created maps i played on halo monday were awesome, this game is going to have legs. So what if far cry 2 had a full map editor can anyone even remember playing a decent user created map on that game.. not me!!

i ve never been a massive halo fan boy but this is starting to look like a pretty good use of £40 of my hard earned cash..
  • GitSomE_UK #25 2 years ago

40 quid version of Halo Reach.. Nah it's the last one so I'm going all out for the full monty package.

This looks really good, can't say I'll have the time to create my own but I'll be interested to see what others do.
  • Bearg #26 2 years ago

    multiplayer of the year inc.
  • curtlikesmeat #27 2 years ago

Maybe after they're done with Halo they could make an MMO similar to Planetside in the Halo universe. I'm sure they could bring a lot of interesting ideas to it.
  • SaberEdge #28 2 years ago

I love what they have done with Halo Reach. I am going to be playing this for a long time.
  • AphoticCosmos #29 2 years ago

    This is literally rondonkulously cool.

    Bungie . . . I wub you!
  • Buran #30 2 years ago

WoW, is like coming to PC 15 years ago or so :p
  • The_Bloody_Kettle #31 2 years ago

    Very Very Cool.

Damn my lack of an Xbox! :'(.

I'm still waiting for the '98 promises of a continuous-map ringworld. Wait, they scratched that when downgrading to the Xbox...
  • Alatair #34 2 years ago

So, uh, what's the difference between this and modding on the PC? You can do more on PC I hear you say...
