I love a good few of those anime studios - especially Studio 4c - AND Halo, so this is win/win for me. Can't wait! \o/

If that blond guy turns out to be MC people in Japan will die!!! ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing Cortana dressed in a school uniform with big anime eyes!

I wonder if the tentacle power up will make it into future Halo games...

    Just don't fuck it up.

Don't know, might work! At least I get more excited after this than from Halo movie plans.

Seriously...what is it with the Japanese and their inability to draw 24 frames per second like the rest of the world? Anime looks pretty, and everything, but when it's that jerky it makes it look 10 times worse.

I enjoy Halo games but from the trailer alone, this looks hilariously crap.

this is the dumbest thing i've ever seen

Umm... I'm afraid this looks a bit cheap and uninspired. Well, perhaps the story's good then, right...?

It may not look yer cup of tea but some of these studios are very good at what they do...I.G are fairly legendary being behind ghost in the shell, blood last vampire and co....and 4 degrees are probably the best at the moment (they did the second rennisance bits in the animatrix if you watched that)...so..i think these will be pretty good, a shedload better than the SFIV anime that's pretty much guaranteed given the names...

I am with BillyRush on this. No the animation probably will not be up to Disney level but it should be a solid Anime from the studios listed. Since you will be able to watch all of these shorts for free, makes this an even better value.

i don't understand why MS centres it's identity around one franchise... maybe they know something i don't.

I will be seeing this love anime, like the MC.

Disappointed that there wasn't the standard anime scene where the cool one (MC I presume) stands leaning, backlit in a doorway with his arms crossed, smirking and making some generic, snide "you are foolish children" comments to a room full of pent-up teenagers (who then angrily go on to save the day/world/etc with his grudging help). That one's a staple of anime. ;)

Terrible trailer, can't see the product for the branding. More footage, less swirling pointlessly detailed 3D logotype please. Did I really see a "1337" Spartan in the Toei segment?

Altitude2k - anime companies understand frame rate very well, they consistently produce fluid animation as long as they have the budget to do so. The jerkiness we see here is the fault of the bad editing that relies on far too much jump-cutting and stops the viewer being able to perceive fluid motion, and the fact that this is a cruddy streamed video. Try downloading this and rewatching it, I expect that would be a lot smoother.

Machiavellian - Not up to Disney standard? You do realise that they no longer even have an in-house 2D art department?
